The sound seems to be a big issue and like many I went "AAAAaaaahhhhh!" when I didn't hear anything. While reading a walkthrough of the game, I found that there was executing options (a command line thing of those who doesn't know). Most of them are freaky technical stuff but one caught my attention: "closeCaptioned". Mmmmm.... close captioning....

A few question popped into my mind:

-Are you aware of it? I'll assume you do for the moment. (didn't find anything about it in the forum)
-How do I imput such option?
-Does it work?
-Is it captionning for storyline speaches?
-If it works, can you put it as a default option in your next built if sound isn't implemented on that release? I know sound might never be done so it's an alternate solution.

Thank you for what you (and your team?) have done up to now.

In order to help ensure that the close-caption and the audio stayed in sync (content-wise) the two were bundled together in Relic's audio format. What this means is that unfortunately you can't read the close-caption text unless you can read the sound file and if you can read the sound file you're a lot closer to producing audio too. Now admittedly, reading text is a lot easier than decoding audio so it's not totally a lost cause. I can't commit to anything but you can be sure this aspect of the game is one that is being continually investigated - I want sound too...

Oh well... I just hope I got enough cpu to run itunes in the background.

I would have liked to know how to imput those options I talked but until I really need to use "forced window mode" to cheat with a program called The Cheat while opening a whole new world of bug possibilities, it is not needed.

Thank you for the extra information.
