| Thanks for the work you're doing. It's evident this is pretty close to a one-man job. I would love to help (have an Intel Mac) but unfortunately don't have any experience. All I've got is basic Java, and assorted OS X knowhow. |

lmop has been on a bit of an extended of hiatus lately, but I've been working with the code on intel, Ive got a working build, however it is pretty slow at this point (most battles are laggy). Oh, and there is sound. So there is some active development going on. keep checking back.
edit: oh, and if you're interested in the geeky stuff...

Hi,
It wouldn't be fair to say it's a one-man job but it's true that for a long time there was essentially only one contributor of Macintosh-related fixes. That's not true now and, as it happens, I hope to have a new version released soon. It will be compiled for Intel Macs and (I think) will have sound which is a major upgrade over the current version. This version was the result of a lot of effort on someone else's part ("Axcess") and a lot of kudos goes to him for getting it up and running.
You can get the source code at HomeworldSDL.org and more technical chat about Homeworld's code can be found at the Homesource Forums. Experience isn't necessarily a problem - you have to start somewhere and bug reports/documentation/suggestions are always welcome.
